Day 1: Arriving in Borneo

Hotel: Promenade Hotel ***

• Transfer with our guide from Borneo airport to your hotel
• Enjoy a traditional cultural performance from different, multiethnic indigenous groups of Sabah
• Participate in the famous bamboo dance of the Murut tribe
• Overnight in Borneo.

Day 2: Kinabalu (B)

Hotel: Kinabalu Park lodge ***

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Depart for a 2 hours journey to Kinabalu Park Headquarters
• Make your way through the different villages and valleys of the Crocker Range
• Enjoy view of Mt Kinabalu and stop by Pekan Nabulu, local stalls selling local handicrafts, fruits and vegetables.
• Visit the Botanical Garden, with its collection of orchids and unique plants
• Overnight in Kinabalu

Day 3: Climbing day (B)

Hotel: Laban Rata Resthouse ***

• Breakfast at the hotel and collection of your packed lunch
• Transfer with our guide to the park headquarters for registration
• Transfer to your starting point, Timpohon Gate
• Climb up to the summit of Borneo's highest mountain (4-5 hours)
• Arrive in Laban Rata late afternoon
• Overnight in Laban Rata

Day 4: Summit of Mt Kinabalu (B)

Hotel: Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu ***

• Wake up early (2:00am) and depart up to Low's Peak (4,095m) and experience the glorious sunrise on majestic Mt Kinabalu
• Descend back to Laban Rata for late breakfast
• Trek down to Timpohon and transfer back to Kinabalu Park Headquarters
• Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City
• Overnight in Kinabalu

Day 5: Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty (B)

Hotel: Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu ***

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Transfer with our guide to Sutura Harbour Marina Jetty
• Proceed to Manukan Island, the second largest in Gaya Islands with her boomerang shape
• Enjoy many kinds of sea-sports, swimming, snorkeling and collecting sea shells
  
• Enjoy snorkeling around the island, and see all the coral beds and multicolored fish
• Late afternoon transfer back to your hotel
• Overnight in Kinabulu

Day 6: Sandakan (B)

Hotel: Sukau Lodge ***

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Transfer to the airport to Sandakan airport, and meet up with our guide
• Transfer to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center
• Video about the rehabilitation process and programs for the Orangutans in Sepilok Center and its threats to survival
• Departure to Sepilok Forest Reserve feeding platform
• Understanding of the process of the 3rd stage of rehabilitation program whre the orphaned and injured orangutans are brought to Sepiok in order to be rehabilitated and return to the forest
• After lunch, depart to Sukan and transfer to your hotel
• River cruise on the Menanggul River (Proboscis Monkey, Hornbills, kingfishers and many other sanctuaries)
• Visit the Kinabatangan wildlife sanctuary, know as one of the best places in Southeast Asia to find and observe wildlife in Borneo
• Overnight in Sukau

Day 7: Oxbow Lake (B)

Hotel: Sukau Lodge ***

• Early morning river cruise on the Oxbow Lake, so you will see the magnificent morning mist in the river of Kinabatangan
• Oriental Darter, Storm's Stork and various species of Hornbills and Kingfishers is possible sighting and return to the lodge for breakfast
• After lunch, river cruise downstrean of Kinabatangan River and see different species of wildlife
• Overnight in Sukau

Day 8: Gomantong Cave (B)

Hotel: Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu ***

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Transfer to Gomantong Cave / walk through the fores to reach the cave: unique limestone vegetation and lowland forest, and observation of birds and primates
• Exploration of the cave, home of million bats and swiflets
• After lunch, visit the Jih Shih temple, a combination of chinese culture and Buddhism belief
• Transfer down to Sadakan town and visit the local market
• Visit Sim Water Village
• Stop by Sadakan War Memorial Park in the weather permits
• Transfer to Sandakan airport and flight to Kota Kinabalu
• Overnight in Kota Kinabalu

Day 9: Kuala Penyu (B)

Hotel: Pulau Tiga Resort **

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Transfer with our guide to Kuala Penyu
• Boat ride to Pulu Tiga and transfer to your hotel
• 2 options for the afternoon
  • jungle trek to the island's mud volcano
  • Leisure time on the beach: water sports activities, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, Snake Island boat trip (at your own expense)
• Overnight in Kuala Penyu

Day 10: Kuala Penyu / Kota Kinabalu (B)

Hotel: Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu ***

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Leisure time until departure from Kuala Penyu
• Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu and to your hotel
