Hello Kitty Theme Park Coming to China!

5823886699 27f017bb2b

It seems that almost all young Chinese girls fancy Hello Kitty (It is true :)). I remember that when I was little, I wanted to buy everything about this cutie that had this cute kitty on it. I guess my particular love for cats actually starts from my passion for Hello Kitty. Even now, every time I pass by any store that is Hello Kitty-related, I cannot help myself to just from going inside and checking it out. I believe that there are many girls out there who feel the same way about her.

And if you are a Hello Kitty fan like me, here is some fabulous news - the founder of the Hello Kitty Company now decided to start a Hello Kitty Theme Park in Zhejiang province, which is about a 3-hour drive from Shanghai. The park is estimated to debut in 2014!

How exciting! Many young girls will have so much fun checking out this new Kitty world.

Plus, Shanghai is welcoming its Disneyland in 2015. It looks like China is quickly becoming a go-to place for thrills and entertainment in Asia.

If you are interested in visiting China, from Beijing to Shanghai, Zhejiang to Yunnan, or Inner Mongolia to Sichuan, Red.Travel, your travel agency in China, presents you various travel packages to get to know an ever-changing China! Cool!

Spotted: Largest, Shaggy Dinosaur Species Found in Liaoning, China

Dinosaur1

Once upon a time, we thought we had already discovered the largest feathered fossils in the world.

The reality shocked us with the recent discover of this 9-meter-long-and-1.5-ton-"Titanic-sized" dinosaur. It is the most gigantic feathered creature ever! Besides the adult, scientists also found two babies as well. Because scientists believe that they are closely related to Tyrannosaurus rex, they named this new dinosaur species, Yutyrannus huali, (华丽羽暴龙), which means "beautiful feathered tyrant."

The discovery is amazing, but also leaves us with more questions to answer. It shocked the science world, but also thrilled children from all over the globe. We all know that kids LOVE♥ dinosaurs!

Interested in visiting Liaoning Province, the "birth place" of this gigantic and shaggy species, as well as many other famous dinosaur fossils? You can check out our Red.Travel Liaoning dinosaur packages, for families and schools. Take your children to explore the mysterious creature. They might end up being scientists to answer the questions we cannot figure out!

Valentine's Day in Beijing: A Perfect Getaway

Aman Resort @ Summer Palace

ASPB Entrance

<3<3  Hello all, and Happy Valentine's Day!

As nice as it can be, there's something about February 14th that can feel a lot more like April 15th, America's dreaded yearly tax deadline.  I have known many friends (usually my guy friends) to completely forget about Valentine's Day, then break out in a cold sweat over what they could possibly organize at the last minute!

For those of you in a similar position out there, not to worry.

Red.Travel would like to propose a definitely decadent, ridiculously romantic getaway idea, right here in Beijing!:  spending a night at one of Beijing's most luxurious hotels, the Aman Resort at the Summer Palace.

What better gift than to escape together to a place where visitors to the Empress Dowager Cixi would patiently await their turn for an audience?

And the best part?  This 2-day, 1-night package is available until the end of March.

So, no need to rush!  When both of your schedules free up, plan a nice mini-break at the summer retreat of China's royal families past.

To learn more about this trip (and to see some more beautiful pictures of the resort), please see the Aman Resort Summer Palace Getaway on our website, Red.Travel.

And whatever you do, wherever you are, have a wonderful Valentine's Day! <3<3<3

Warren Buffet Sings for Chinese New Year

...?

4395166906 34830b736a_b

Warren Buffett's playful side comes out to...well, play!

Yes, you've read that correctly.  Apparently America's most famous investor and philanthropist, multi-billionaire Warren Buffett, will make a a guest appearance on China's #1 most watched television event, the yearly Chinese New Year's Eve Gala program on CCTV.

While he won't be there in person (that we know of), the gala will feature a prerecorded video of Mr. Buffett singing and playing the guitar (no joke) to help ring in the Year of the Dragon.

Says one of the broadcast's production executives, Wang Pingjiu, "We all know that Buffett is good at investment, but few knew he also did well in singing." [Xinhuanet]

Couldn't have said it better, Mr. Wang.  If it keeps on like this, it looks like 2012 will be a very interesting year indeed!

[note to self:  business acuity + mad singing skills = billionaire livin'! ]
